Luke Paulson

My daughter Megan had an 8#2ounce baby boy on 3/10/06. The babies name is Luke Paulson.Father Wade called me right away and I drove to Milwaukee last evening. Luke is very handsome with a full head of black hair(unlike his very proud Grandpa). It was such a happy time! Thanks Dan for the mapquest. I told Megan that Joe Dye wanted him for the Parker football team. Thanks to Bob and Gretchen for the spagetti dinner. Thanks to the boys and Ali for the warm company. Ali and I took a walk in the hall to look at the other babies. Thanks to all.Love,Grandpa Thomas

If you give a crook enough rope he will hang himself

In my website under trust I stated that Paul Ryan does not deserve our trust in the first congressional district of Wisconsin. I discussed his dealings with Abramoff and Delay. In the Beloit Daily News I asked for Paul Ryan"s resignation and /or impeachment now. That was too soft an approach because of the recnt opinion page by Spivak and Bice in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal "Casino promotors place side bet on Ryan" I request the indictment of Paul Ryan. Political money line in 2/2/05 reported on the report given to the federal election commission by the Virchow Krause Company Janesville ,Wisconsin that no fewer than eight members of the Troha family in June of 2003 had given 11,402 dollars to the Ryan campaign. All crooks!

Ethics Reform

Trust of our represenatives to the United States Congress is so important. Because I feel so strongly about this issue I completely fund my own campaigns and limit myself to spending five thousand dollars per campaign. Maybe this will show some others that it can be done. What about Paul Ryan? In a recent website he has stated that his war chest is greater than one million dollars. He was involved in the Abramoff scandel along with over 200 other members of congress republicans and democrats. This was an influence peddling scandal resulting in the indictment of Jack Abramoff. Reviewing Paul's FEC report shows you where he gets his money. Virchow Krause accounting firm does this report with no charge.Well-"politics ain't beanbag".

Update on Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District race. When having breakfast with my good friend and former tennis doubles partner( he said he was tired of covering 95% of the court) Bruce Thompson he informed me that somebody had dropped out of the congressional race.I told him it could be Sowa who had always been polite to me. To get back to the issues yesterday I did not mention the pharmaceutical companies in the health care equation. I will remind you I am a practicing physician with a Wisconsin liscence. What is happening is that the pharmacists are pushing generic medications. One of my best friends developed his second infected elbow(opposite side)in about six months. I prescribed for him the antibiotic I had previously used for him which cost 140 dollars for a ten day supply and they gave him the generic brand without me instructing them to do so. When I checked on him and found him no better I was upset and informed the pharmacy in question they should not be practicing medicine without a liscence.

Medicare part D

This is a very difficult time for the health care of our seniors and uninsured. If you use the terminology "national health insurance'' practically everyone gets the hives. There are many good people doing good things, including doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, insurers, employers, and patients and yes politicians. We really don't know what to do so we each do what we can.Of course I favor tort reform.

I pledge that during the creation of this blog I will do my best to keep a positive mental attitude.A good friend of mine suggests be kind, nice, fair, andpositive. More than 80 million Americans have no health care. I do general practice of medicine in my community.I am running for the united states congress as a democrat. I am grateful to become a member of the blogging community.
